Randolph County Courthouse
Huntsville, MO
Randolph County’s offices were distributed among three buildings in two cities. This new 33,000 SF addition to the Justice Center consolidates all the county’s offices into one location. Located on Highway JJ, this location provides ease of access from Huntsville, the county seat and Moberly, the largest city in the county. The new addition accommodates the county administrative offices, judicial offices, and a new hearing room. The existing building was renovated for a new courtroom and juror accommodations. A single public entrance with security screening and a series of secure corridors for jurors and judges provides enhanced security. The brick and cast stone veneer is incorporated into the design to complement the existing building and daylight fills the public lobbies through large expanses of glass.
This project is a 2017 AIA Mid-Missouri Honorable Mention Award winner.
