Project Information
Lincoln County Historic Courthouse I Column Restoration
Troy, MO
The six cast iron columns at the Historic Lincoln County Courthouse had shown their age. Through the years, several coats of paint and caulk had covered the ornament at the capitols and filled draining holes at the base of the columns. This resulted in rust appearing on the column bases. This project consisted of removing the layers of paint and caulk, repairing the cast iron columns and re-casting damaged ornamentation per the Department of Interior standards.
This project is a 2020 Missouri Preservation Honor Award winner.
