Farmer’s Residence
Jefferson City, MO
This private residence is located on a mostly wooded lot with a 5 acre pond at the center of the property. The house is designed so that the interior public space, the exterior gathering space and pool all faced south towards the water views. The plan layout separates the public and private program by rotating the private wing of the residence 90 degrees creating an “L” shaped floor plan that responds to the pool location. Exterior canopies and patios were incorporated to provide a variety of places to enjoy the outdoors throughout the seasons. The exterior walls were designed using ICF construction making the building extremely energy efficient, durable and quiet. White stone clads the exterior of the home and is contrasted with black metal accents creating a modern and sleek aesthetic.
